Timing is idling at around 30 instead of 10 or 15 as it should. So timing is effecting or being effected by this problem. But the pressure is staying in the cylinder, would that be more towards the bent or burned valves, or hole in the cylinder, or maybe the one of the vtc spokets is off by a tooth. Well I guess i just might as well start with timing. Eventually I will pull the motor out a) to rebuild it or more likely b) just retire that old engine and replace it with something newer and lower on mileage.
